MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR MEMBERSHIP

Message from the President

Thank you for being  a member of the HPBAC. By joining, you are demonstrating support for your industry and contributing to its overall success.

Trade associations are committed to protecting, educating and promoting the industry it serves. HPBAC’s staff and volunteers work diligently to fulfill this commitment and keep members informed of threats, challenges and opportunities. As a HPBAC member, you join like-minded, committed and passionate stakeholders dedicated to preserving and advancing the industry.  Although many of us may be competitors, we share common interests and goals for the industry as a whole. Working together as an association gives us a united voice to influence change and protect business interests.

In recent years we’ve faced an unprecedented number of challenges from jurisdictions across North America. We’ve had some successes, like in Utah where wood burning was threatened, but some battles continue in Vancouver (restricting and ultimately banning the use of non-renewable Natural Gas), in Ontario (threats to eliminate Natural Gas), and in the USA (NSPS and regulation of Gas Hearth Appliances by EPA). You can keep apprised of these issues through our HPBAC Voice newsletter, bulletins and website.

As a member of HPBAC and HPBA,  you will receive information on meetings and events, educational opportunities, regulatory issues, and much more. You’ll also have access to discounts through various affinity programs, and free admission to the annual Hearth, Patio & Barbecue EXPO in the USA.

Volunteering with the association is rewarding and beneficial both personally and professionally. We’re always looking for new perspectives on our committees. If you or someone in your company would like to become involved,  please contact a HPBAC staff member or any member of the Board of Directors for more information.

I encourage you to read through this page and bookmark it for future reference. Remember, we’re here to inform you, assist you and point you in the right direction so that you get the most out of your HPBAC membership.

Laura Litchfield, HPBAC President
